Zsigmond Vilmos és Kovács László, a két világhírű magyar operatőr barátsága és karrierje, ahogy azt munkatársaik, kortársaik és ők maguk látták. Mindketten 1956-ban menekültek el Budapestről, ahonnan magukkal vitték a forradalomról forgatott anyagok negatívjait. Később az amerikai film megkerülhetetlen alkotói lettek, akiknek filmjeit mindenki ismeri. A filmrészletekkel gazdagon illusztrált dokumentumfilm bepillantást enged a kulisszák mögé és személyes emlékeket is felelevenít. A megszólalók között van többek között Dennis Hopper, John Voight, Sandra Bullock és Sharon Stone, valamint természetesen maga a két operatőrmester is.

The friendship and careers of Vilmos Zsigmond and László Kovács, two world-famous Hungarian cinematographers, as seen through the eyes of colleagues, contemporaries and themselves. Both fled Budapest in 1956, carrying with them negatives of footage of the uprising. Later on they became indispensable to the American film industry, with involvement in movies everybody has seen. This documentary lavishly illustrated with film excerpts gives us a glimpse behind the scenes and also brings out many personal reminiscences. Participants include Dennis Hopper, John Voight, Sandra Bullock and Sharon Stone, and naturally the two master of cinematography themselves.
